CONGRATS!!! I was just wondering about you. Sounds like it was an insane, yet relatively calm birth. I'm glad he's doing OK and is home now. Welcome, new mommy!

Congratulations! That is so incredible. I can't wait to hear more from you. Take care and don't forget to sleep when the baby sleeps. Seriously. Everyone says that and it is easy not to do it but you really really should. Much love! xoxo

Well, my water broke but I didn't have contractions. That is the same thing that happened to my mother so maybe it is genetic. I don't know. I have heard that you are likely to have a birth similar to your moms. And I think that if you get pitocin it is much harder to labor without an epidural. It is possible but I couldn't do it for more than 7 hours. Especially when I then found out I was still barely dilated at all. But after the epidural, they were able to turn the pitocin up a lot which is what made me finally dilate very quickly. Try to think of it as an adventure that you will definitely survive and at the end you will get the most amazing prize ever. I'm really glad that I went as long as I did before I got the epidural but I know plenty of people who went straight in for the drugs and that's fine too. Know yourself and what you want. For me, it was really important to fully experience and feel it for as long as possible. The doula definitely helped me be able to manage it for so long though. Do you have an email address? I probably shouldn't fill up your guestbook with all this. But let me know what else you want to know. xoxo

I did hypnobirthing. It was definitely helpful but does not make birth pain free. I'm happy to share more details with you if you're interested. soooo excited for you. xx

Don't feel so bad about your croissant pockets and ice cream for dinner -- the other night I had buffalo wings and chips and salsa. I guess it's just been one of those weeks...

ahahhahaha. Reese Peck. LOVE IT. I am a big fan of both Nicholas and elliott...not sure if they go together? Thomas is solid, too. SO exciting! Jordan, my friend, was so sad when her baby HAD to be named the third. So, it's RICK. Rick is such a random name to call a baby. feels like a cartoon character baby name.! talk soon-limes
